Sigma Orionis (http://sigma-orionis.com/) is a French SME founded in 1984, established in the Sophia Antipolis technology park (www.sophia-antipolis.net) in South-East of France. Sigma specializes in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and offers a range of services (technology assessment and product definition, market research and business intelligence, organisation of business and cooperation events, etc.) to research laboratories, companies, institu-tions and authorities active in the ICT sector worldwide. Sigma has been involved in many FP5 and FP6 IST projects and is currently involved (as partner or coordinator) in several FP7 ICT projects focusing on technological developments (such as the BeyWatch project) or on the support to the development of international cooperation (with sub-Saharan Africa and Asia). Sigma Orionis is also the coordinator of the PARADISO2 FIRE project (www.paradiso-fp7.eu), exploring the interactions between Internet and societal developments and promoting the emergence of an “Internet Science”, on which the Internet Science NoE will build. Through all these projects, Sigma has had the opportunity to demonstrate strong skills in project management and impact-creation, based on sound professional and ethical values. Sigma is also an active member of several European Technology Platforms (eMobility, NEM, NESSI, ISI) and is strongly involved in the activities of the Future Internet Assembly (www.future-internet.eu), leading in particular the one addressing international cooperation in the Future Internet area.
