I am an assistant professor in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication at California State University Long Beach. I currently teach communication law & policy and multimedia journalism. My academic research includes studies on peer-to-peer networking, broadband deployment, on-line civic engagement and wireless signal sharing.
Previously, I was a post-doctoral fellow in the Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. There, my research focused on telecommunications policy--including net neutrality and other regulatory reforms.
