Jef Ausloos is a doctoral researcher at the Interdisciplinary Institute for Law and ICT (ICRI) at the University of Leuven in Belgium. He holds a bachelor degree in law from the University of Namur (FUNDP), a Master degree in law from the University of Leuven and an LL.M. degree in IT & IP law at the University of Hong Kong. At the University of Hong Kong, Jef also held a position as research assistant. In 2011, Jef worked as an International Fellow at the Center for Democracy & Technology (cdt.org) and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (eff.org) in the US. Last summer he spent three months at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society (Harvard University).
Research Interests: Privacy and Data Protection, Internet Regulation/Governance, Neutrality, Freedom of Expression/Information.
