I took my degree in Philosophy in November 2006 with a thesis in Philosophy of science: "The symbolism in A.N.Whitehead" at the University of Studies of Milano.
In 2011 I took a Master degree in "Communication of Science" at the International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste.
Currently I’m a second year PhD student in “Quality of Life in Information Society” at the University of Milano Bicocca. This is a PhD program that is organized at the intersection of Sociology and Department of Computer Science in the University of Milano-Bicocca.
My project research is on ICT supporting citizen engagement and social life in urban areas and neighborhoods, in processes of value-co-construction and knowledge sharing.
I’m working on fostering a culture of participation among citizens with the following goals:
• engaging citizens to produce a body of narrative knowledge in a bottom-up manner about habits, cooking and banqueting traditions and personal memories related to food (also through the involvement of a community of experts in Food Science, urban sociology and anthropology)
• sharing knowledge about food habits and traditions of citizens in a multicultural district of Milan
• improving local multicultural communities
• Promoting a citizen science initiative through the ICT (mainly Web based technologies) that could be applied at town level
